As revealed here exclusively at SEIBERTRON.com, Stan Bush has been working on a new Transformers inspired track possibley for use in the forthcoming live action Transformers Movie.

mr_sinister_31 of the Don Murphy Message Board has been lucky enough to hear the new track first hand and has posted a small review of the song here. He writes:

Put simply, this song rocks. I was pleasantly surprised. I'd describe it as a meshing of electronic and straight ahead hard edged rock. This is most definitely NOT 'The Touch -- Part Two'. It's starts off with roughly a minute or so of eclectic drums/electronic sounds. I closed my eyes and it felt like the type of ambient music you'd hear in the background of an expository scene. It reminded me of some of the music from 'The Island' actually.

At around one minute in the song starts in earnest. Now, this is Stan Bush singing, and it sounds like Stan Bush singing. So if you're expecting something else than you'll be disappointed. I just felt the need to point that out. That being said, the dude sounds good. Really good. The lyrics evoke what the Transformers are about. What they are, what they represent, why they're here. Basically, it accomplishes what the lyrics to the original Transformers theme did, but in a fresh way.

As yet there has been no confirmation that the track will appear in the Transformers Movie. or as part of the original soundtrack. The SEIBERTRON News Crew will keep you update with any futher developments.

The latest and last Don Murphy Update for 2006 on the Transformers Movie has appeared on the board of his site of www.donmurphy.net. The following has been directly taken from his post.

"Come gather ye Stooges and Hear a New Tale….

This will likely be the last posting of 2006. I am basically gonna miss Christmas this year, since Susan and I are knee deep in WHILE SHE WAS OUT, prepping in Vancouver for a February shoot. We hope to go right from that into FACES OF DEATH, and then who knows what next year will bring. (WE 3 ? Yes Please!) If it is a year like 2006, then please, more, more!

SHOOT-EM-UP is now tentatively scheduled for September 7, 2007. The film is amazing, exciting and funny as shit. Can’t wait to show you the new trailer.

The TRANSFORMERS trailer comes out December 20th online. I’m not going to hype it. If it doesn’t silence the haters, nothing will. The reality is that this film comes out July 4th, 2007, and the producers and the studio are already talking sequel. We know what we have is an exciting and amazing summer blockbuster.

The Don Murphy Message Board was set up by a fan of mine to discuss my movies. Soon, certainly by the new year, there will be a banner on top of the page advising that Transformers discussion should be moved to www.transformersmovie.com . I mean, you can post whatever you want wherever you want I guess…except there is no point anymore. The film is shot. The first director’s cut comes in next week. ILM is rendering the film. We all think that the film kicks ass. But, no matter what you post, it isn’t changing. All the polls in the world no longer make a difference. It seems to make more sense to discuss the movie on the movie site.

I know that from the beginning of this board, I have done my utmost best to make the fan base as happy as I possibly could. You guys demanded Cullen and despite resistance from some quarters he is in there. I feel Welker will hopefully come in there as well. There were things you wanted that frankly made no sense in a live action movie. And there were things I could not deliver, because I was only one voice among many. I think the board served its purpose and along the way created a community and for that I am most grateful.

I hope you’ll all have a great Holiday Season and be good to one another out there. Make the internet a little less hatefilled. Enjoy movies that look good. Enjoy your families and take care, and hang tight, Stooges, hang tight."

"Your Guide to the Year in Science 2007
July-
Transformers: The Movie
Planet Earth is the front line in the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons when director Michael Bay's live-action movie Transformers opens on July 4. Based on the animated series and popular action figures of the early 1980's, Bay's Transformers (brought to life by CGI) can change from, say, a 25-foot humanity-hating robot into a deadly jeet fighter in four seconds flat."

Michael Bay, director for the upcoming Transformers Movie has dropped a line on his Shoot For The Edit site. The director made the following statement on his board.

"It has been awhile since I've posted. Finished shooting end of Sept., on budget, just came under $300,000. I beat Pearl by a $100,000. I had a great time making this movie, the cast and crew were amazing.

Today I just finished the new teaser for Christmas and I think it's AWESOME! The trailer mixing Guru who does all the big summer movies turned to me and said with a little more ump - it was "f***ing awesome".

I think some of my films have had good teasers but this one is just makes a statement. It's hard edged to show we are not a silly "toy" movie. We show just hints of robots - and almost none of our epic shots are in this teaser, but the movie just looks big. I had a room full of 20 Tranformers adult geeks, and they all applauded at the end.

It comes out the 22nd - see it in the theater! Let me know what you think.

Michael Bay"

Seibertron.com reported earlier that the trailer will be online on December 20th. The trailer will be in theaters on the 22nd. And will be streamed on line from the 26th.

SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK
COUNTY OF ROCKLAND
Index No. 5192/00
Index No. 2821/02

*** PRESS RELEASE ***

December 7, 2006, Carmel, NY

After six years of grueling litigation and four appeals which were won by her in 2006, the composer of the well-known Transformers Theme, The JEM Theme and feature songs from the JEM TV SHOW, and several other American, pop culture musical themes and songs originally composed in the 80’s for HASBRO Toys and Entertainment Properties, is finally getting her days in Court at trial in a tiny courtroom in New York Supreme Court in Carmel, NY. Anne Bryant, the composer, is seeking to recover an accounting of and payment of both performance and publishing royalties she claims should be paid to her from the producer-publisher, SUNBOW PRODUCTIONS, NY [which is now owned by its parent company LOONLAND AG, Germany] for millions of CD, VHS and DVD sales and licenses which she says use her music without paying her the royalties she says she is owed. On the eve of the December 4th trial, Bryant says she suddenly received a small check from TV Loonland for "music royalties" but Bryant says, although it is an admission of responsibility, it is a mere drop in the bucket.

The composer is also suing her performing rights society BMI claiming among other things that it allowed changes to be made to her song catalog without her authorization.

According to Bryant, the long road to trial began when she discovered that her 100% composer’s share of the hugely valuable Transformers Theme music had been reduced to a small fraction in her BMI writer’s catalogue. BMI’s counsel, Judith Saffer argues that it is not possible for BMI to police the catalogues of its many affiliated writers because they have no way of knowing if the new registrations they accept for the same title are accurate. In Saffer’ view, it’s up to the BMI writer to bring a court action against another writer if there is an infringement. Bryant says that BMI’s stated position is to remain neutral but then asks why BMI would not protect its writers by at least checking with the original registrant when a song with the same title is later presented for registration. "Others are being unjustly enriched by my music," says the composer. "It appears to me that BMI writers cannot expect their works to be safeguarded by BMI"- a performance rights organization that represents more than 300,000 affiliated songwriters, composers and publishers. The composer also claims that because of BMI’s laissez faire position, these corrupted registrations have diminished her writer’s royalties across the board, finding their way into her SONY ATV catalogue, after Sunbow passed on the altered publishing catalogues to the mega-publisher. Bryant also claims that she is not given credit for her songs in three newlyproduced Transformers television series airing on The Cartoon Network.

The composer hopes to be made whole for the millions of dollars in back royalties due to her since 1994 for her many valuable themes. And with the DreamWorks TRANSFORMERS LIVE ACTION MOVIE [#1] scheduled for release on July 4, 2007, she also seeks to secure her professional screen credits, in the event that the Dreamworks movie uses her theme.

Bryant has been represented by Patrick J. Monaghan of Monaghan, Monaghan, Lamb & Marchisio a small New Jersey and New York firm. Monaghan has represented and won settlements in the past on behalf of the former managers of the artists Meat Loaf and Billy Joel in separate cases. Sunbow is represented by Gloria Phares, Esq. a partner in the New York law firm of Patterson, Belknap, & Webb. BMI is represented by its in-house counsel Judith Saffer, Esq. Bryant says she will sue anyone who is using her music without authority. "The Transformers best days are yet to come," she says. "I look to the Court to achieve justice and secure accurate royalty accountings and payments to me in the future." I have faith in the American judicial system and I am not going to be cowed into submission by a huge corporation with millions to spend on lawyers.
