A Delightful Tedium- Derrick Wyatt, Transformers Animated Lead Director/Designer, has updated his blog once again.
This time he includes a picture collage of what one would consider SPOILERS for things related to the new season.
"Okay, not really major. Actually, these would be the most minor spoilers humanly possible. Some are so incidental they have no bearing on the plot at all. Blink and you'll miss them!
Models drawn by Irineo Maramba, Art Lee, Brianne Drew-Hard, James Lim, and myself."
You can view Derrick's blog here, and see the hint filled picture below.
-Disciples of Boltax- With this week's update, Jim Sorenson shares the animation model and design created for Megazarak's cartoon transformation. Megazarak is the eqivalent of the U.S. G1 Scorponok. While not included in either Ark Compendium Book, this piece and the others we have seen are nice connections to the old television animation, and appreciated by fans who own the books and want more, and fans of the art and design of the period.
You can view 'The Disciples of Boltax'here, and then follow the link to the newest blog about Megazarak's original illustrations.
Thanks to Jim for his continued willingness to share these pieces of Transformers history with us. A sample of the page is teased below.

A financial article has appeared on the site of Business Week in regards to earlier reports of Motion Picture director and Transformers moviesProducer Steven Spielberg and his resurrection of Dreamworks Studios. As reported back in July of last year, Spielberg had landed a deal with India-based movie studio conglomerate Reliance, for a business proposal for $1.5 billion to potentially produce up to 30 movies in the next 5 years.
This article however reports that with the current weak economy, both Dreamworks and Reliance have been having problems putting their finances in order to achieve the $1.5 billion mark and will most likely be settled at only $650 million. Instead of a seven year plan it would appear that Dreamworks will now only concentrate their efforts for the next three years in the their current status. The returns of movies like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen may be an important factor for Dreamworks to rebuild itself over the next few years. What this would mean for future movie products including a future third installment of the Transformers Movies franchise is undetermined at this time.
Just a reminder that next week, January 21st on NBC, the new Knight Rider show will feature the return of the "Evil Prototype" K.A.R.R. voiced by none other than Transformers voice actor Peter Cullen, who is of course best known as the voice of Optimus Prime from the original cartoon series and the Michael Bay Transformers movies.
Last night's episode of Knight Rider also featured a teaser for the upcoming episode called "Knight To King's Pawn", which fan site knight rider online was gracious enough to host on YouTube. In the 20 second clip you can hear Peter Cullen as KARR say the line "KITT Must Die!!!"

Nearly every studio will push pics during the big game, airing on NBC Feb. 1, with the movie lineup naturally made up of summer tentpoles whose studios hope to appeal to the nearly 100 U.S. million viewers that tune in to the broadcast.
Confirmed for this year’s roster are high-profile titles like Paramount’s "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Star Trek" and "G.I. Joe"; Sony’s "Angels and Demons"; DreamWorks Animation’s "Monsters vs. Aliens"; and Universal’s "Land of the Lost" and its fourth installment in "The Fast and the Furious" franchise. -NBC's Today Show- With temperatures expected to be in the single digits next week, snow and sleet squalls, and of course, another football playoff season without the Detroit Lions in them, Michiganders know it is January in Michigan, and with this time of year comes the Detroit Auto Show.
Known for showcasing and previewing many new model year cars, as well as concept cars from all the different car companies, the Detroit Auto Show (also known as the NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW) suddenly becomes very relevant to Transformer's fans because of Michael Bay's insistence on cars that are cutting edge for his movies, and his close ties with GM.
Car enthusiast website, Jalopnik.com, reports that this morning on the Today Show, host Matt Lauer broadcast from Detroit at General Motor's Warren Tech Center where Lauer teased the Chevy Beat would be making an appearance at the N.A.I.A.S. in Detroit next week.
The Chevy Beat, based on leaked photographs and footage from sets, will also be making an appearance in the Transformers movie sequel due out this summer as an Autobot named Skids! While not the exact same as the production model that will be shown on at the show this week, it is a good opportunity for Michiganders (and visitors to Michigan) to see the Beat up close.
You can view video of Lauer revealing the Beat on this morning's Today Show here.
Open to the public the 17th through the 25th of January, this should be a nice opportunity for some of our community members.
