We'd like to thank Dave McCann of Shine Communications, who on behalf of Paramount Studios has provided us with a video clip that will be part of the special features on the upcoming UK DVD and Blu-ray releases of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. To refresh everyone, ROTF will be available to purchase there in just a few short days, on November 30th.
The video is all about 25 years of Transformers – and features exclusive commentary from the likes of Hasbro Senior Marketing Director, Greg Lombardo, and Hasbro CEO, Brian Goldner, who talk all about the evolution of Transformers over the past 25 years.
This video is identical to the US special features release.
Seibertron.com - The worldwide leader in Transformers news coverage!
As the Transformers brand continues to expand, there are also a growing amount of ways to immerse yourself in the fandom, especially when it comes to new forms of Transformers related media. As we noted earlier in the day, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has now made its way to USB, and Seibertron.com member Ravage XK now brings us news of a cool new way to experience IDW Publishing's "All Hail Megatron", Issue #1.
After a recent firmware upgrade on my PSP I noticed a new feature called Digital Comics. The initial run involved the downloading of the app itself and a notice informing me that the system would be up and running shortly. I was also given a voucher code to redeem against a free copy of All Hail Megatron #1.
I am in the UK and this service may already be up and running in the US and elsewhere.
I like the idea of digital comics and the app works well once you get used to how it works. As you press the right button on the D pad the PSP scrolls and zooms in and out of the artwork, stopping on key frames to allow you to read the text. You can manually scroll around with the thumb stick and the shoulder buttons operate zoom. Page turning is activated using the up and down buttons.
After doing some research, we can confirm that this is not limited to the UK. Simply download the PSP's new comic reader, go to the Playstation store using your PSP and enter download code EC2N-9HBR-HJD6. Then enjoy!

This is it! The last Q&A session for 2009! It's time for Hasbro to answer the questions put forth by us, the fans! If you have any questions regarding Hasbro's processes, thoughts, ponderings or reasonings, please ask them now.
The staff will choose 3 questions to submit to Hasbro on Nov 30th. We are expecting our answers around Dec 14th.
In the interest of trying to get the best questions submitted, Seibertron.com staff and savvy community members will also be answering questions that we KNOW have already been answered.
We are aware that we have not heard back from Hasbro yet on the previous round of questionings and sincerely hope that miscommunication is sorted out shortly.
Hasbro has made it clear that they will not answer questions such as "Will you make this figure?" or anything related to their new animated series. Other than that, everything is fair game!
There has been a lot of recent bad press in the media lately indicating a possible rift between live action Transformers franchise director Michael Bay and actress Megan Fox. Here at Seiberton.com we have chosen not to report on most of that, because it is often hard to distinquish the gossip from the reality.
However, couresty of USA TODAY's entertainment blog, we have comments from Michael Bay himself who recently came to Megan's defense at of all things, a Victoria's Secret show. As you may remember, Bay has been directing Victoria's Secret commercials.
There are many things one can expect at a Victoria’s Secret show (mobs of press, crazy futuristic neon wings, bras covered in diamonds, a Black Eyed Pea, or three) but what we did not expect was a candid takedown of the press’ treatment of Megan Fox by none other than Transformers director, Michael Bay. (You may remember the outspoken actress has referred to him as a “nightmare,” and “Hitler” in recent interviews).
But it turns out, Bay couldn’t care less. Really. “I love her,” the man responsible for the blockbuster franchise told USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell. “It’s just, she’s young. Everyone’s got to give her a break, she only…23? It’s just hard. I’ve traveled around the world with her and she’s just like this world symbol now, you know?”
So he brushes her diatribes under the carpet? “Absolutely,” he said. “She called me (after the Hitler comment) and goes, ‘It’s all bullsh—t, Mike.’ The press, they just like to prey, and stalk, and pounce and find a good little juicy thing. But she’s always wanted to do these crazy comments. That’s just her. She’s great.”
He also said, “She’s got a great part in Transformers 3,” and he said he’s currently working on the script. So Bay’s not planning on getting revenge by, say, killing her off? “No, no. no,” he said, dismissing it. “She gets enough of that already.”

One of the hottest topics on Seibertron.com as of late has been the new Transformers comics series known as "Ongoing" which is being published by IDW. While most Transformers fans are excited to see a new long term series, Ongoing has been controversial from the start due to both some unusual initial storylines and of course some unconvential artwork.
Since Ongoing has now officially hit the stores, the fan reaction and debate figures to continue to grow. We'd like to thank Seibertron.com member Bass XO for alerting us to a USA TODAY article which is sure to stir the pot even further. The article's title is "Optimus Prime quits!", which is certainly not a phrase Transformers fans are used to! Below is an excerpt.
In a move that will certainly stir things up in the comic-book universe, the editors and writers at IDW Publishing have thrown Transformers fans an unexpected curveball.
The debut issue in the new Transformers ongoing series, available today, closes with the most well-known character in the series' history, Optimus Prime, resigning as leader of the Autobots. The surprising plot twist follows the previously-released news that fan-favorite Ironhide dies in this same Transformers issue.
So, why the massive story shake-ups? Series writer Mike Costa says the moves are necessary to advance storylines and push the Transformers brand in new directions.
"This first story arc is all about upheaval and change and what happens when you realize that all the tools and skills you've previously spent your life accruing are no longer effective."
Editor Andy Schmidt agrees with the need for change. "Ultimately, our book is based around a universal theme of 'transformation' and, more importantly, that real change and real transformation must first come from within."

Seibertron.com member Razorclaw0000 has alerted us towards something very cool at DeviantArt. Artist Dan Khana has posted 3 very interesting pieces of of Energon Optimus Prime and Megatron. This artwork was meant to be the boxart for two Target exclusive repaints from the Transformers Energon line which eventually got cancelled. It was said that the Megatron was going to come with WST Soundwave while the Optimus Prime would have come with WST Optimus Prime, but we cannot confirm this.

The Allspark fills us in on the occurrences of Hasbro's web cast that occurred on the afternoon of November 5. We first told you that a webcast was going to occur, and here's a summary courtesy of NightViper over at the Allspark..
For those that listened into the four-hour Hasbro Investor Relations Webcast, you already know that it focused more on facts and figures than, well, action figures. Wacky investors. However, there was some Transformers-related news to grab onto:
- 2010 will bring with it a Transformers promotion called "Hunt for the Decepticons"
- Hasbro has acquired the Micronauts ("Microman" in Japan) brand and look forward to including its rich story in various media forms
- Advertising for the new JV (joint venture) Network with Discovery will begin in February
- 10-12 new programs are currently in production for JV Network
- The only new program they could comment on was My Little Pony. Lauren Faust of Power Puff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends will head up the MLP media.
- Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman are among those writing for Hasbro Studios media
If you missed the broadcast, you can listen to the broadcast here.

Seibertron.com's own Rodimus2006 reminds us that Hasbro's Investor Relations live Webcast starts tomorrow, Nov 5th, at 10am ET and will last about 2 hours. It is unsure how much information will relate to the Transformers Brand future, such as upcoming toylines, movies or animated series. After all, Hasbro is a large company with a lot of brand names to talk about.
With the recession now approaching the 2 year mark, it's hard to find many companies, products, services and fields that haven't been negatively affected in some form. However, there are always going to be a few things that not only survive in a poor economy but actually find a way to thrive.
Yahoo! Finance recently compiled their top 10 list of products that boomed during the recession and our beloved Transformers actually made that list. Here is an excerpt.
Transformers. Good and evil are still doing battle, which makes toy maker Hasbro a winner. The company's Transformers action figures have morphed into a franchise that includes two movies, a TV series, video games, comic books, and a wide range of spinoff toys that seem to be recessionproof. A sharp boost in entertainment licensing revenue from Transformers and a related stalwart, G.I. Joe, have helped offset reductions in other parts of Hasbro's earnings statement. Expect the bots to keep battling.
Other items included tupperware, private label salad dressing and universal remotes. Yes, seriously.
