Starscream NZ pointed out that Case Fresh has Alternator Prowl up for pre-order with a shipping tag of May. This has really come out of the blue as we have not even seen any concrete sign of this character yet. Is this legit?

TriBlurr of TFans.com has very kindly posted a report from todays UK Toyfair containing some very interesting Information. Highlights include the future of the Transformers line in the UK, and news about Alternators, Energon and most interestingly Cybertron. In particular the possible size and colour of Cybertron Starscream, and an estimated Cybertron UK release date of 2006! This is what TriBlurr had to say:
Well I just got back from the toyfair . Heres what to report
Hasbro ARE continuing the energon line albeit at a trickle for now with the added bonus of the Universe combinners (sixturbo represented) having the energon logo slapped onto them . The display showed most of the late wave repaints (except Galvatron, Overcast and quickstrike), Wingsaber and some of the combiner limbs with only steam hammer representing the deluxe central combiner . Apparently the tf representative who i talked to didn't know any exact time they were shipping with the exception of the micromasters in which she stated were out already at about 2.99 - 3.99 pounds sterling .
The alternator stand showed most of the alternator range with the exception of tracks for some reason (the did have a pic of ravage and wheeljack though) An easter egg here is the picture of the NSX police car that was recently swapped around the web is a genuine alternator Unfortunately it still is in its car form (no sign of the robot mode for now ) . One hasbro rep stated they are going to expand on the alternator range this year thanks to the dancing citoren
And heres another easter egg . Hasbro UK have actually got protos of the CYBERTRON line with packaging ! The packaging itself is a cross between Hasbro US's Zoids Fuzors and Takara's own mega scf boxes with good use of metallic blues and greys . Badly mistransformed examples of Vector Prime , Dreadrock and Thundercracker linme the stand along with a big Galvatron sized box entitled.... Starscream! and what will really get your goat is Cybertron starscream's boxart seems colored more akin to Wingsaber than GF starscream . You'll get the idea if you ever visit from today to sunday
The Hasbro rep told me those will start hitting the stores January 2006
Also anyone looking for any universe or masterpiece primes : You'll be better off getting it import Hasbro UK are still mulling about launching the lines in the UK but haven't made a decision yet

The following item has crossed the desks of the news room of Seibertron news, regarding the future of the Transformers comics as well as that of GI Joe;
The recent rumors of the new "General Rey GI Joe" and the "G1 revival as Alternators" comics has a singlar root:
Both lines are getting a makeover in the toy aisles, and it will translate into a new direction for both comics. Cobra is taking a breather as a new terrorist group rises, and the Joes get a complete overhaul to combat this new threat. (i.e. soldiers that aren't pushing 60.)
Similarly, the group of G1 Autobots stranded on Earth are getting the Alt makeover to combat not only the Decepticons... but the Cons' new human allies who are helping to hunt down our Autobuddies. And to top it off, the new Joes aren't exactly rooting for either side in the TF war.
The Cons are bad news, but the Autobots are magnets for destruction. So our favorite Autobot heroes will be outgunned, outnumbered and on the run. The Ark is gone. They can't reach Cybertron... or Optimus Prime.
They have no back-up but a secret group of human allies. And Sunstreaker & Trailbreaker are acting awfully funny lately...
Both comics will play off of each other for a year or so, with a big
cross-over planned as a climax to the stories when everything starts hitting the proverbial fan around the time the TF movie hits.
It should be noted that several months ago a similar rumor was spread over the internet, saying that Dreamwave was planning a Transformers Alternator 6 issue comic, supposedly to be released somewhere late 2005, which basically had similar suggestions about the storyline as this report has. This was before the big news hit about Dreamwave closing its doors. So this could very well have been originated from the same rumor, and has now gone full circle.
So far, none of this has been confirmed to the best of our knowledge.

Galactica.TV reports that Hasbro and Tom DeSanto took notice of a short film Directed and produced by Eric Chu, Concept Artist for Battlestar Galactica. The
article does report anything concrete, but does feature the short film. The film features an Optimus Prime which seems to be based on the GI Joe vs Transformers II concept from Devil's Due.

Rich Johnson of
ComicBookRecources.com has reported in his "lying in the gutters" column that the deal is done between Hasbro and Devils Due, he writes;
MO' RO BO
...Because Devil's Due has also landed the license to publish "Transformers" from Hasbro. The ink is dry. This is the second time they have tried for it, and Dreamwave's blunder paid off for them with Hasbro, who seems to be happy that both of their major toyline licensees will remain under one roof as they did with Marvel. It's unknown about creative teams, but the word is that Josh Blaylock will be writing the main TF book and current Joe artist Tim Seeley will be doing the art.
Johnson has given this an 'Amber' light which means his source may be harbouring a slight bias that might bring this story into doubt, but whatever it's very encoraging news. Read the original story and all theTransformers/GI Joe updates
here.

stylinonline, of the 2005 boards has posted the following information. He states that according to "his source" Don Figueroa has signed with Devils Due. Since Stylinonline has not told us who his source is (and we have had so many "My source" tales in the last two months) I have posted this as a rumour.

The following has been reported by ddp.lsw@wernet.net
Devil's Due will publish several Transformers projects, all based on
the G1 universe:
War Within III #1-3 will be collected in a special 72-page edition for
new readers with the remaining stories to follow monthly.
Beast Wars will be published after TWW3 ends.
Generation One will get a reboot when it returns this Summer. It's cast
of characters will be reduced to the Alternators and a few others here
& there. (i.e... FUTURE Alternator toys...)
Look for former GI Joe villians from Sgt Savage & GI Joe Extreme to
appear in the TFG1 comic as the two titles will share a universe once
again.
I will file this under rumours for now.

TFW2005.com have learned that the
Larger Remolded 'King' Starscream Prototype revealed last week by TF Club's "littleiron" will in fact be the Hasbro/Cybertron version of Starscream! How big it actually is still unclear but it is rumoured to be a Supreme size figure and as such slightly taller than the Unicron Mold!

According to sources, it seems that now that Dreamwave is no more, the company that will take over for the Transformers in the field of comics is none other that Devil's Due Publishing.
Not really suprising since they are already handling G.I. Joe comics for Hasbro and are responsible for their own Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover.
