Great news for those who liked the Optimus Prime Lego set. We have the very first info on an upcoming Bumblebee Lego set. This one is also said to be transformable. The type of car it transforms into has not been revealed. We do know the release date is July 1st 2024 and that it will be going for $90 USD with 950 pieces, which is a much better price per parts ratio than we had with Optimus Prime.

The set number is 10338 Transfomers Bumblebee.

I imagine the transformation would be similar to his G1 figure, it seems the simplest way to go. But who knows! I do hope we keep getting these guys, despite the price, but that’s Lego. Let’s see if we get a Con or two

Thanks to Brickclicker (who is sent tips on Lego leaks), we have the first image of the upcoming Lego Bumblebee set. This one is also said to be transformable. We can see that this is based on Bumblebee’s G1 design. The release date is July 1st 2024 and it will be going for $90 USD with 950 pieces, which is a much better price per parts ratio than we had with Optimus Prime.

The set number is 10338.

Neat. Wonder if it actually turns into a VW. Would assume you need VW's license for that though, which is probably pricey on top of getting Hasbro's license.

I never considered buying the Lego Optimus. Way too expensive for me. Especially for something so "simple" and huge.

But if that Bee blows my mind, especially for the transformation, I may consider it.

I have it, and while it wasn't a great price, it IS a pretty awesome set. Hopefully this one is as well.

I really like Prime, it was like Lego meets MP, surprisingly complex (despite the limited articulation) and really looked like a proper OP.

This one is probably going to be a pass. Just based on looks alone I would have preferred something closer to the original toy or the cartoon. This looks like Lego Titans Return Bee which wasn't a great design, mostly because of those weird arms. Even looks like it transforms the same way with the arms becoming the back of the car and the backpack filling in the space between.

More interested in the life sized Lego cat at about the same price...

That Legends Bee is an amazing figure, with the best Bumblbee head. Looks great in both modes and fits a passenger. Deserves praise not hate. This Bee looks so much more interesting than the Lego Prime

It's OK, but I've never liked the arms on it, felt the alt mode was too far away from a Beetle. It was good at the time, but I upgraded when the Takara version came out (as well as picking up RoadBurn) and upgraded again with the Netflix figure. Looks like I'll be upgrading once more when the A Level figure is released.

Honestly the best Deluxe Bee is Legacy Animated. People have slept hard, the G1 Bees keep giving Bee clown shoes

That's because he's often drawn with clown shoes, though ironically when Animated Bee was revealed a lot of people complained about his feet being too small.

As long as nobody is drawing him like Pat Lee we're all good.

Because the original toy had big feet made from the entire front of the car. It just sort of became a thing that Bee has big, round feet. Cliffjumper got lucky (sometimes) since he has flatter, more angular feet.
